Summer 2012 Program

Active for Life

Women’s Program for 2012

This is to announce the program and lay out our expectations.

Details are subject to change as the program takes shape.

We will do our best to keep everyone informed of the latest information.

KingstonSC will field a team in the 2012 Southern Region Soccer League, Senior Women’s Division.  This team is an Active For Life group, as defined by the CSA’s Long Term Player Development model, and open to any female age 13 and over, subject to approval of the Club Head Coach.

Download the AFL Women’s Registration Form Here.

A player must have submitted a completed Registration Form and paid the full 2012 club registration fee before taking the field on or after 14 April.

Players with outstanding fees may not register.

Roster size is limited to 25.

Players who have previously registered with KingstonSC are able to register starting Monday night, March 19, at the Sr Women’s session in the MCS Gym.

This early registration lasts for more than one month, and at the second outdoor event for the Summer Team, on April 21, registration is open to anyone, first come, first served.

Program Information:

Fees:

$120 + $20 recoverable Club Fundraiser

The fees are unchanged from 2011.

All fees, $140 total, due at registration.

No player will participate in any practices or games without being registered.

$120 – covers all fees for the SRSL including performance bonds and referees, field maintenance and lining, and a uniform you keep.

In addition, all every player who registers with the club must participate in the Club Fundraiser.

At Registration, $20 of tickets are “bought” by the player who can then resell them, eliminating that expense, or enter themselves in the draw.  The tickets are $2 each, and the prize is approximately a $250 value: dinner for 4 at Vitos and a family pass on the Reversing Falls Jetboat.  This is the same as last year’s fundraiser.

We encourage everyone to sell more than the minimum $20.  This is how we built the clubhouse.  This is how we can provide help to those in need.  This is how we can afford to buy the players quality uniforms they can keep.

This high quality Umbro kit is part of the registration package, and includes numbers and club/sponsor art.  Next year’s uniforms will be identical and we hope players will not need to reorder, and we can reduce the registration cost accordingly.

Your sizing information is included on your registration form.  Each player is responsible for how their uniform fits.  Make yourself comfortable.

Uniforms will be ordered on April 28.  If you have not registered by that time (and if there are free roster spots on the AFL Women’s team), the club will order some uniforms that may or may not fit late registering players comfortably.

Schedule:

See the Senior Women’s Schedule on the KingstonSC website.

Saturdays from April 14 to May 19: 6 to 8PM, Usher Miller Field  @KVHS

This is in conjunction with AA Program tryouts.  It is an opportunity to get active, meet your teammates, and play some games, the format and timing of which are subject to the demands of the day.

This provides 12 hours of outdoor practice/game time before Kingston Field opens and we have a schedule for practices and games for the rest of the summer.
